Destroying Fear
New Title

Bringing Back Bravery
Pastor Troy Brewer
This past Sunday, we were honored to host guest speaker Troy Brewer and his wife, Leanna, from Troy Brewer Ministries. Over the years, Troy and his team have rescued more than 11,000 children from sex trafficking. They are deeply committed to serving orphans and vulnerable children in Mexico, India, Colombia, and Uganda. Through their incredible work, they’re bringing the hope and love of Jesus to some of the darkest, most impoverished corners of the world by establishing schools, churches, medical clinics, water wells, and orphanages.
We were inspired by powerful testimonies of miracles, rescue, and restoration as Troy shared how his family and team fearlessly face dangerous situations to rescue the helpless. Troy challenged us to adopt a kingdom mindset—one rooted in bravery rather than fear. He told us, “I hate being afraid; it offends me!” He urged us to be thermostats, not just thermometers. When we step into any room, we can shift the atmosphere because we carry the presence of the Lord.
Troy explained, “There can be no revival without the fear of the Lord. Learn to fear the Lord, love what He loves, and hate what He hates.” When prioritizing our comfort over God’s call, we miss the essence of the kingdom. True courage doesn’t mean we won’t feel fear, but it does mean fear doesn’t get to rule us. He reminded us, “You’re not rewarded in heaven for how skillfully you avoid conflict!” He said, “If you want the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit that makes you an overcomer, you must have zero tolerance for fear.”
Jesus said in Matthew 10:16, “I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.”
This scripture reinforces that our calling is bold and that safety cannot be our highest priority. As kingdom people, we’re meant to go in Jesus' name, put fear aside, and act courageously to bring God’s kingdom to earth.
Troy encouraged us to become people of the kingdom—fully surrendered to the King. In these last days, our highest aim should be to see people saved and set free and to make God’s goodness known, not just to stay safe in our pews. Troy shared so many insights and thought-provoking truths that this summary only scratches the surface. To catch the full message, click here.
